Aurora, IL — On Sunday, August 18th, Mayor Richard C. Irvin announced his campaign to earn a third term as mayor of Aurora, looking to build upon his achievements in the role over the past seven and a half years. His leadership is bringing his hometown to new heights in economic development, education, and public safety, with a third term furthering his vision for the city.
Before Mayor Irvin took the stage, local business and property owners shared their experiences with the Irvin administration, applauding the support they received from the mayor. If a primary is triggered, the election will take place on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025, with early voting beginning on January 16th, 2025. If no primary is to occur, the general election is set for Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, and early voting begins on March 7th, 2025.
